Establishing a place for a social get-together is a very old dream of Franz Witzmann. The native Hainfelder always wanted to take care of a meeting point, where people enjoy their creativity at no charge. In the context and with support of the social festival „Tu was, dann tut sich was.“ his dream becomes true. Franz Witzmann taught German and was present and open for all ideas and wishes. For three further years the project was financed by Leader-region.

From 2016 to June 2023 we rented a house in the middle of Hainfeld. In the center and nevertheless protected and in a safe distance to the street. The house offered two rooms on the ground floor, which were used for cooking and lessons as well as for social get-together. In the first floor there were more rooms and enough space for creative workshops and computer-learning

 

 

 

 

 

 

After the Corona-crisis till the year 2023 Franz and Renate helped especially children to do their homework. Because of the increase in rent we decided to close this place. Franz has passed away on July, 7th 2023. We were very sorry, but decided to continue his work.

Therefore the  Comedor del Arte Community is still existing. There is still the need for assistance, e.g., doctor visits, authorities or administrative offices, applications for jobs , education or apartments, etc. , and of course financial assistance. We paid therapy costs, class for driver’s license, cribs, and school stays in rural areas.

The Comedor del Arte was intended first as a house in the center of Hainfeld and over time it changed the meaning and became a big family, which lives currently in different places, in Austria and also abroad. We communicate via social media or meet in private rooms.
